Do you know how much goes into planning a wedding?  How the budget is managed and how decisions are made?

This year, Expo Bride 2016 took place on March 11th,12th and 13th at the Wyndham Hotel in Herradura.  If you are planning a wedding in Costa Rica soon, you will be happy to know that there will be another one on July 9th, 10th and 11th.

Expo Bride Costa Rica is the modern bride’s ally for various reasons, it offers and showcases a great range of possibilities most would have never even imagined and it also allows providers to offer their services which aim to make the whole event effortless and seamless.

The modern bride needs to be able to plan her wedding in such a way that it will not consume too much time, that the whole event is within the planned budget while still being a dream wedding.  Is it a difficult task?  Maybe, but definitely not impossible!

Let’s start with one of the most important decisions a couple needs to make in terms of a wedding, and it is all about location, location and … location!

How can you choose the best location for your dream wedding? Consider these questions as guidelines:

  • How many guests are you planning to invite?

This first question can be the deal-breaker between option A and option B mainly because some venues can hold up to just a certain number of guests.  To have a rough number of the people you are planning to invite will narrow down the options allowing you to make the best decision.

  • Which location in Costa Rica would be most convenient for the majority of your guests?

This question is mostly for locals, as usually Costa Rican brides will choose a venue that is accessible for most guests and also near the church of their choice if they are Catholics.  In Costa Rica most weddings will take place at church and later on, guests will have the reception at the chosen venue.

  • Is the place that you are considering to host the wedding equipped with enough parking space?

Again this question is mainly for local brides, a venue’s parking space is of utmost importance and also proportionate to the number of guests.

  •  Would you prefer a wedding indoors or outdoors?

A wedding at the beach or one in the most romantic locations such as a botanical garden can only be possible if you know how Costa Rican weather works.  Just remember that in Costa Rica we do have a dry season perfect for outdoor activities and a rainy season.

  •  Is it possible to deliver catering service to the place you have in mind?

This is specially true for weddings that take place far away from the Metropolitan Area and for special menu requirements such as Kosher.
